Summer is coming to an end and we would like to summarize for you how we spent our summer days at Maple Bear Olomouc Kindergarten and Maple Bear Brno Elementary School! Our summer events were in the spirit of fun education, sports and joy. Let’s take a look at what we’ve been up to together!
Lobster Food Fest in Křelov and Fairy Tale Kingdom at OC Haná
At the beginning of the summer, we met some of you at the Lobster Food Fest in Křelov. This festival was a great opportunity for families to spend a beautiful sunny day together and enjoy the specialties of talented chefs. At Maple Bear Olomouc Kindergarten, we prepared educational competitions for children with prizes, and our mascot Chinook from Canada was present too!
At the Fairy Tale Kingdom in front of OC Haná, other competitions were complemented by a raffle for a large teddy bear. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!
Golf Experience at Golf Resort Véska Olomouc
Golf Resort Véska in Olomouc offered us golf adventures! Not only did we participate in a golf tournament, but we also tested the skills of golfers at the hole number 8. The competitors handled our challenging task with skill, and we enjoyed a beautiful day full of sports. Two weeks later, on Sunday, we returned to the golf resort, this time with a golf club in hand, and learned from the coach how to play!
Meet&Greet with Maple Bear in Olomouc and Brno
In June, we had the honor of welcoming you to our Meet&Greet event in Olomouc and Brno. This successful event provided an excellent opportunity for parents and children to visit our Maple Bear Olomouc Kindergarten and Maple Bear Primary School in Brno.
The Meet&Greet program began with a tour of the school, where we showed you the school premises, classrooms, and our equipment. Parents had the opportunity to see how daily lessons and activities are conducted and to meet our teachers and ask any questions they had.
In Olomouc, we moved to Telegraph for an informal gathering. Here, parents had the chance to meet our Maple Bear Olomouc Kindergarten Principal Lukáš Ondruch and the CEO of Maple Bear Central & Eastern Europe, Yann Bidan. Read the interview with Yann Bidan on the essence of preschool education.
Football Season with 1. HFK Olomouc
Last Friday in June, we celebrated the end of the football season with the 1. HFK Olomouc club together with our mascot Chinook. Congratulations to all the young footballers for successfully completing the season!
In July, we continued with football trainings as part of the Summer Wednesdays with Maple Bear, where children not only played sports but also participated in language and educational activities. Sign up for Summer Wednesdays in August at Maple Bear Olomouc Kindergarten!
Lavender Festival in Bezděkov
We spent the July holidays at the Lavender Festival in Bezděkov. At our Maple Bear Olomouc booth, we welcomed all those interested in studying at our kindergarten and offered competitions with prizes, a raffle, and a photo booth with our mascot Chinook. This festival was a great opportunity for families to spend time in a beautiful lavender-scented environment. Thank you for inviting us!
Tennis Tournament in Brno
Maple Bear Brno also actively participated in summer activities. Recently, we supported young players at a tennis tournament, where we not only cheered but also motivated the children to achieve sports success. Thank you to everyone who participated in our fun afternoon!
Fun Afternoon with Maple Bear in Brno
Our Fun Afternoon with Maple Bear Brno, held on July 18 at Nová Zbrojovka in Brno, was a great success! We kicked off this summer event with group physical activities, rhymes, and other fun activities led by PhDr. Veronika Gajdová, a kindergarten teacher at Maple Bear Brno. All activities were conducted bilingually in Czech and English, adding an international atmosphere to the event. Afterward, children had free playtime under the supervision of experienced teaching assistants, allowing parents to relax while the children enjoyed new games and friendship.
Brazil Fest with Maple Bear Brno
Come to Brazil Fest this weekend (August 3-4, 2024) and visit our Maple Bear Brno booth! On Saturday, you can find us at Svoboďák, where you can learn more about our bilingual education program. On Sunday, we look forward to seeing you in Lužánky, where our wonderful teacher Lorraine Lourens has prepared a workshop for children called “Adventure in the Amazon”. Summer Wednesdays with Maple Bear in Olomouc
During July and August, we organize Summer Wednesdays with Maple Bear, where every Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM, we prepare a program for children aged 3 to 6. While parents have the opportunity to tour the new school premises or enjoy some well-deserved rest, children engage in educational activities following the Canadian methodology (and there is plenty of fun too!).
In July, the events took place at 1. HFK Olomouc, and in August, we successfully moved them to the new building of Maple Bear Olomouc Kindergarten on Kosmonautů Avenue.
